He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Ann Ragan; his son Troy Ragan; his grandson T. J. Ragan; his parents, Grady Ragan and Bertha Leander Ragan; his brothers, Herman Ragan, Mac Ragan, Clifford Ragan and Robert Ragan; and his brother-in-law William Vaughn.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Ragan (Donna) and Marlene Whitten (Myron); his sister Betty Ann Vaughn; his siblings-in-law, Joyce Ragan and Woodrow Pruitt, Jr.; his grandchildren, Jeremy Ragan (Mandi), Amanda Cox (Jared), Justin Ragan (Kayla), Tyler Ragan (Marnie) and Christopher Whitten; and his great grandchildren, Abbie Ragan, Brodie Ragan, Jessica Wright, Noah Wright, Ezra Ragan, Elijah Ragan, Bryson Ragan, Zayden Lauderdale and Madelyn Apken.
