He is survived by: his wife AlmaLee Calhoun Satterfield; his children, Robin Morton (Mike), Donna Seahorn (Ben), Prentice Satterfield, David Satterfield (Cindy) and Brian Satterfield (Angela); his siblings, Cecil Satterfield, Joy Hawkins, Ailene Smith, Chester Satterfield, Luther Satterfield, Annie Ruth Upton and Sarah Alice Bryant; and his granddaughters, Christy Bryant Rogers and Kaelyn Faye Jones.
