She is survived by: her husband Bill Rucks; her daughter Joy Spell (Fleet, III); her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Spell, AEnon Spell and Fleet Spell, IV; and her sisters, Patricia McDowell (Frank) and Regina Anderson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
