He is survived by: his wife Barbara Lassiter; his children, Jo Lynn Cox (Ronnie), Stephanie Yench (Tony), Willa Stricker and John Daniel Lassiter (Heather); and his siblings, Kathy Wallace, James M. Lassiter (Debbie) and Raymond Lassiter (Patricia). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter of Boaz.
