He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Powell and Arronia Powell; and his siblings, Linda Lacey, Jimmy Powell, Joe Powell, Larry Powell and Jerry Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Gwen Painter; his daughter Sonya Dalrymple (Todd); and his granddaughters, Michaela White and Emily White.
