With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Frances (Wood) Murphree of Cropwell, Alabama, born in Ragland, Alabama, who passed away on April 20, 2023 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lee Wood (Josh) and Una Wilson Wood. She is survived by: her husband Wallace W. Murphree; her daughters, Helen Martin (Fred), Mary Jo Whittle (Steve) and Ethelyn (Gary Brown); her grandchildren, Beth Martin (Kurt), Marty Martin (Jocelyn), Kathy Brown (Liz Schutt) and Christi Brown (Chayo Plata); her great grandchildren, Nate, Baylor, Ella, Williams, Whitt, Lee, Izzy and Ozzy; and her friend Barbara Miller. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mt. Pisgah Memorial Fund, Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 100 Mt. Pisgah Drive, Cropwell, AL 35054.
