He was predeceased by: his wife Clair Glenelle "Nell" Waltman Ardis; his parents, John Ardis and Vivian Ardis; and his brother James W. "Jimmy" Ardis. He is survived by: his children, John W. Ardis, Jr. (Melody), Michael G. Ardis (Danya) and Debra A. Weideman (Mike). He is also survived by six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
