We are sad to announce that on January 13, 2025 we had to say goodbye to John Aubrey Bates of Crane Hill, Alabama. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bates and Ila Bates; and his brother Ellis Bates. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Bates; his son Terry Bates (Tom); his granddaughters, Katie Parker (Caleb), Anna Mauldin, Sarah Graves (William) and Teryn Bates; his great grandchild Ava Jane Parker; his brother Kenneth Bates (Joyce); and his sister-in-law Ruby Overton (Horace). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Hope Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
