Reginald Caver Obituary
Funeral Services for Mr. Reginald Caver, age 57 of Cragford, will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Randy Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Mr. Caver passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at his home. He was born and raised in Calhoun County, and had lived the majority of his life there, until settling in Cragford with his wife.
Mr. Caver worked for over 20 years in the Asphalt business working for the Reuben Sturkey Company. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, BBQing for his family and being outdoors. Mr. Caver is survived by his wife, Amy Fuller Caver of Cragford; his daughters: Tasheva Slater (Nicole Lavender) and Cassandra Cochran, both of Anniston; his step-sons: Billy Ray Hamlin of Ft. Campbell, KY and Isaac Hamlin (Samantha) of Cragford; seven grandchildren: Jaylan McKenzie, Makenzie Curry, Makayla Curry, Aniyah Cochran, Jordyn Lewis, Draya Higgins, and Dontavious Higgins Jr.; his mother, Edith Caver Foster of Anniston; three sisters: Marilyn D. Hall of Darlington, S.C., Elizabeth Whatley (James), and Prophetess Mary.
C. Caver, both of Anniston; four brothers: Stanley, Kenneth, and Anthony Caver, and Frederick Foster (Mariah Parker), all of Anniston; his Godmother, Ann Bentley and his Godbrother, Danny Bentley (Kathy), both of Anniston; his in-laws, Rev. Kenneth and Rhoda Fuller; two brother in-laws: Amos Fuller (Stacey), all of Cragford, and Isaiah Fuller of Memphis, TN; plus a large extended family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Bowie; one brother, Johnny Caver; his maternal grandparents, Louie and Mary M. Caver; his step-father, Grover Foster; and his Godfather, Frank Bentley. The Active Pallbearers will be Kenny Caver, Anthony Caver, Stanley Caver, Frederick Foster, Rafael Vernable, and Carlton Caver; Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Ray Hamlin, Isaac Hamlin, Jaylan McKenzie and Dontavious Higgins Jr.
His visitation will be on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M. Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.
