He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sanford Caldwell and Gladys Joiner Caldwell; his granddaughter Haley Marie Caldwell; and his siblings, Britton, Whitton Caldwell, Roma Troxtel, Lucille Land and Jean Blair.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Robertson Caldwell of Cragford; his children, Rhonda Caldwell Riley (David) of Greenwood, SC and Richard Kermit Caldwell (Ciara) of Southside; his sisters, Ann Brewer of Ringgold and Delwyn McCormick (Bo) of Cragford; his grandchildren, Jabe Hunter Riley (Hannah), David Hampton Riley (Taylor), Robertson Hayes Riley, Madison Caldwell Pate (Caden) and Hayden Elizabeth Caldwell (Baylor Millhoff); and his great grandchildren, Sadie Jo Riley, Annie Riley, Penelope Riley and Piper Riley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
