He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Crawford Kirkland, Sr. and Willie Marie Sands Kirkland; his sister Betty Elaine Walker; his nephew Travis Lee Walker; and his brother-in-law Arlis Roberts.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Kirkland; his stepchildren, Donna Wilson, Pat Combee and Brian Koper; his sister Rosemary Roberts; and his nephews, Michael Harrell and Charles Walker. He is also survived by one grandson, three great grandsons.
