She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Cannon and Agnes Cannon; her husband E. D. Whitehurst; her daughter JoAnne Shelley; her grandson Lee Alan Driggars; and her brother Dr. Clifton Cannon, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Pam Holloway (Myer) of Cowarts; her son-in-law Ronnie Shelley (Linda) of Ariton; her grandchildren, Emily Holloway of Pelham and Matthew Shelley (Kathy) of Montgomery; her brother James L. Cannon (Suzanne) of Gainesville, Georgia; and her sister-in-law Jane Cannon of Savannah. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
