She was predeceased by: her parent Annie B. Gilchrist (Sam Hill); and her siblings, Lillie Jones, Claude Barby, Flora Smith and Ann Gilchrist.
She is survived by: her children, Edwin "Mike" Hill (Latasha), Calvert Hill, Teresa Hill and Priscilla Hammond; her grandchildren, Miricle, Mahkyla, Marvell, Devell, Aaron, Symoria, Melodi and Promize; her godson Eric McCurtis; and her siblings, Clarence Gilchrist (Helen), Ella Hunter, Natus Gilchrist, Gloria Davis (Kenneth), Freddie Gilchrist (Syrvillia) and Joe Gilchrist. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
