He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow, Sr. Herring and Othel Danford Herring; and his sister Angelin Herring. He is survived by: his son Woodrow Wilson Herring III (Cindy); his siblings, Ronnie Herring (Belinda), Phillip Herring (Dianne) and Phyllis Jenkins (Brent); and his grandchildren, Will, Anna Katherine and Drew. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was a devoted son, helping take care of his mother during her last years as she suffered from Alzheimer's disease.
