He was predeceased by: his son Michael Andrew Whitehead; and his brothers-in-law, Randall McCord and Jack Grace. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Deal Whitehead; his daughter Anna Turner (Keith); his grandchildren, Parker and Grady of Dothan; his children, Benjamin Whitehead of Cottonwood and Katherine Whitehead of Knoxville, Tennessee.; his siblings, Myrl McCord of Cottonwood, Qualeen Grace of St. Joseph, Louisiana and Artis Whitehead (Diane) of Cottonwood; and his siblings-in-law, Phillip Deal (Debbie) of Dothan and Lori Deal of Dothan.
Due to current restrictions required by COVID-19 precautions, a private family graveside service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, April 18, 2020 at the Mount of Olives Memorial Garden Cemetery in Cottonwood with Dr. Ricky Plummer and Rev. Vann Clack officiating.
