It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Fay White of Cottonwood, Alabama, born in Albany, Georgia, who passed away on June 21, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Allbun Lamar and Grace Truma Holland (Ennis); her former husband Alvin Glen Smith; her son Allbun Lamar Smith; and her siblings, Tommy Holland and Betty Jones.
She is survived by: her husband David White of Cottonwood; her children, Richard Smith (Sara) of Birmingham, Raymond Smith (Kathy) of Dothan, Kathy Powers (Mark) of Dothan and Lorrie White of Dothan; her grandchildren, Tyler Sewell, Kaylin Herman, Hunter Powers, Austin Smith, Lauren Sims, Emma Andress and Landon Andress; and her siblings-in-law, Alex White (Lisa) and Lynis White Cox. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
