He is survived by: his wife Shelba Mercer of Cottonwood; and his children, Sandra McConnell (Joe), Susan Mercer, Robin Mercer and Reverend James A. Mercer, Jr.. He is also survived by his four sisters, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives.
