Ethel Sue Roland Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ethel Sue Roland of Cottonwood, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 15, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph H. Arnold and Annie Lois Speigner Arnold; her husband Bob Roland; her grandson Joshua Harris; and her brother Joseph Homola.
She is survived by: her children, Hurdis Harris, Jr., Gayle Irwin (William), Wendell Gobbel (Carol), Mark Snow (Dawn), Sharon Hyatt (Michael), Jessie Harris, Betty Salter (Ricky), Lynn Phillips, Carol Roland, Jamie Roland and Greg Roland; her grandchildren, Sarah Harris, Cassie Rasberry, Wendell Gobbel, Chad Snow, Logan Snow, Hunter Tedder (Paige), Jonathon Harris (Kaci) and Preston Harris; and her siblings, Lloyd Arnold, Allen Arnold and Jane Simpson. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Southern Heritage Funeral Home (1000 Hodgesville Rd, Dothan, AL 36301). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Madrid City Cemetery (100 Paraiso St, Cottonwood, AL 36320).
