He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Sarah Nell Davis Nelson. He is survived by: his son Jesse Nelson (Lauren) of Cottonwood; his sister Kathy; his brother-in-law Robert Cole of Cottonwood; his brothers, J. W. Nelson (Janice) of Haleburg, Eugene Nelson of Defuniak Springs, FL and Bobby Nelson (Charles Nelson) of Gordon; and his granddaughter Sawyer Nelson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
