With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Artis Whitehead of Cottonwood, Alabama, who passed away on June 6, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Crosher Whitehead and Nola Whitehead; and his brother Will Whitehead. He is survived by: his wife Diane Whitehead; his children, Nick Whitehead of Birmingham, AL., Christie Junkin (Lance) of Guin, AL, Shaylee Meadows (Randy) of Cottonwood, AL and Celena Morris (Robby) of Dothan, AL; his grandchildren, Hayden Junkin-Galbreath, Jordan Junkin, Hannah Meadows, Tucker Meadows, Molly Morris, Walker Junkin, Abbie Grace Junkin, Matthew Morris and Laura Kate Meadows; his great grandchildren, Holden Junkin, Grayson Galbreath, Finlynd Galbreath and Emmie Galbreath; and his sisters, Myrl McCord of Cottonwood, AL and Qualeen Grace of St. He is also survived by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund.
