We are sad to announce that on July 9, 2022, at the age of 87, John William Hammond of Cottondale, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Brown Hammond; his parents, Joe William Hammond and Mary Louvenia Moore Hammond; his siblings, Cora Bailey, Sarah Brownlee, Lillian Hollinger, Jane Price, Joan Wilson, Pearl Hall and Evan Hammond; and his grandson Matthew Hunter Callahan.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Hammond Callahan (Bobby) of Sweetwater, AL, Mary Kate Hammond of Palmetto, AL and Joseph S. Hammond (Cami) of West Blocton, AL; his brother James Roland Hammond (Kay) of Fayette, AL; his grandchildren, Catherine Hammond of West Blocton, AL, Andrew Hammond of West Blocton, AL and Ashley Brooke Matchett (Austin) of Robertsdale, AL; and his pets, Anabell Lee and Edgar Allan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
