With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Wayne Powell of Cottondale, Alabama, who passed away on January 30, 2022 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Powell and Hester Powell; his grandparents, James and Hattie Powell; and his brother Jimmy Powell.
He is survived by: his wife Vera Lisa Powell; his sons, Stephen Merchant (Mary Kate), Jeff Patterson (Jalyn) and Darryl Patterson; his siblings, Sherry Powell, Johnny Powell (Susie) and Ronnie Powell (Kim); and his grandchildren, Ashley Joy, Hunter Patterson, Thomas Patterson, Josh Patterson, Austin Patterson, Brianna Patterson, Angel Patterson, Stevie Kate Merchant, Haven Merchant, Kaylee Patterson, Rylie Marler and Levi Irby.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
