He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kay Smith of Cottondale; his son Jack Alexander Smith of Northport; his stepsons, Tony Joseph Oswalt (Terri) of Concord, Reggie Butch Oswalt (Donna) of Concord and Kevin Lee Oswalt of Fayette; his parents, Fred G. Smith and Delois Smith of Fayette; and his siblings, Patrick Smith (Harrietta) of Huntsville, Myron Smith of Fayette and Carol Jenea Smith. He was also cherished by five grandchildren.
