She was predeceased by: her parents, W. L. Herd and Wynnell Herd; her sisters, Carolyn and Clara; and her in-laws, Arthur and Mildred Pierce.
She is survived by: her husband John Pierce; her children, Paul Pierce, Jimmy Pierce (Marian), Rebecca Hill (Danny), Tim Pierce (Yvonne) and David Pierce (Stacey); and her sisters, Betty Sellers, Janice McCoy and Barbara Files. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
