We are sad to announce that on December 14, 2024, at the age of 89, Carol e H. Vaughan of Cottondale, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Augustus and Lillian Sonneé; her husband Clarence Albert Vaughan; her siblings, Adelaide, Charles, Walter Leon "Mickey", Haywood, Clara, Lillian and Ronald; and her son-in-law Eric Rivera.
She is survived by: her friend Laura McCants; her sister Yvonne Brown (Walter); her children, Darleen Rivera, Lisa Scott (Mike), Clara Brooks (Donald "Unique"), Clarence "Michael" Vaughan and Keith Vaughan, Sr.; her grandchildren, Lillian Livingston (Michael), Eric Rivera (Rena), Antonisa Scott, Claire D'Oench (Robin), Taneya Rodriguez (Ryan), Capri Brooks, Keith Vaughan, Jr., Ciara Scott, Alayna Vaughan and Skylar Brooks; and her great grandchildren, Tristan, Olivia, Nicholas, Noah, Aiden, Anias, Lynnae, Madison, Noel and Ella. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cotton Funeral Service (130 Main St, West Orange, NJ 07050). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Cotton Funeral Services (130 Main St, West Orange, NJ 07050). Clarence and Carole remained devoted partners for over 55 years until his untimely passing in 2020 during the COVID19 pandemic. Despite battling COVID at the time of her husband's passing, Carole made a miraculous recovery, demonstrating her resilience and unwavering faith.
