He was predeceased by: his parents, Sampson Eldridge "Gee" McGee and Nellie Colvin "Bobo" McGee; his son Mark McGee; his granddaughter Claudia McGee; and his sisters, Gladys McGee West Ray and Sherry Nell McGee.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ray McGee; his children, Elisa M. Ember (David), Ashley McGee (Sara), Chris McGee (Miriam) and Jennifer M. Wilson (Raiford "Bo"); his grandchildren, Brett Ember (Julie), Meghan E. Adair (David), Rachael M. Pope (Josh), Jason McGee, James "Gee" McGee (Heather), Jon Wesley McGee, Bryant Wilson and Walker Wilson; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Josh Ember, Emberly, Adley Adair, Lincoln Pope, John Ashley McGee, Estes, Marek McGee, Aiden and Ryder McGee; his nephews, Charlie West (Debbi) and Dennis West (Cheryl); and his extended family, Taylor Kern (Zoe), Joey Kern (Tori), Maddie Kern, Linda Dawson, Jeremey Dawson and Jake Dawson.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel (5434 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
