He was predeceased by: his great-grandparents, Jane and Fred Whalen; his grandfather Mike Lay; his aunt Chanda Galloway; his uncle Ben King; and his great-aunt Leslie Gunter.

He is survived by: his parents, Courtney Whalen and Jacob Lay; his sister Delia Lay; and his grandparents, Stacey, Tom Moore, Wendy Whalen and Kevin Stokes. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
