She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Sides and Ardelle Sides; her daughter Tammy Carr Oliver; her sister Joyce Sides Wolfe; and her in-laws, Juelette Pounds Carr and Howard Carr.

She is survived by: her husband Gary Carr; her grandsons, Brady Oliver and Wyatt Oliver; her sister Linda Stewart (Daniel); her son-in-law Kevin Oliver; and her sister-in-law Janet Carr Handley (Gary Sawyers).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Jasper's First Baptist Church Benevolence Fund in honor of Margaret Carr.
