He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Burnette and Florence Burnette; his wife Ruby Burnette; and his sons, Jeffery and Gary Burnette.
He is survived by: his children, Teressa Ledlow, Sandra Short, Sandy Dawkins, Debra Kaye Polk, Johnny Burnette and Hank Burnette; and his brother Donald Burnette.
