It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Bryant Beaty Jr. of Cordova, Alabama, who passed away on May 27, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. B. Beaty and Jimmie Ann Beaty; his sister Mary Ann Beaty; his grandparents, John, Carrie Abbott, Frank and Elizabeth Beaty; and his father-in-law Vonnie Pate.
He is survived by: his wife Vonda Pate Beaty; his children, Dustin Beaty (Shannon), Saige Beaty (Meagan), Anna Sides Dawkins (Ricky) and Adam Sides (Kara); his grandchildren, Maci Beaty, Jon Bryant Beaty, Hunter Poe, Brynlee Beaty, Dax Beaty, Bryson Dawkins, Adelyn Dawkins, Rylan Sides and Rhett Sides; his brother Rickey Beaty; and his mother-in-law Marie Pate. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Mickey Beaty Memorial Scholarship Fund – Dora High School, PNC Bank.
