It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Hitchcock of Cordova, Alabama, who passed away on December 2, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Betty's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Betty has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Reed and Gervis Reed; her husband Robert W. Hitchcock; her daughter Rebecca Hitchcock; her great grandchild Lincoln Reed McGuff; and her brother Charles Bankston.
She is survived by: her son Mike Hitchcock (Sandie); her siblings, Patricia Perrin (Richard) and Vernon Bankston; and her grandchildren, Colter Hitchcock (Amber), Sydnie Terry (Austin) and Macoy Hitchcock (Camri).
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
