She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Patrick Mercier, Jr.; her parents, James Mills and Virginia Mills; her stepmother Mary Mills; and her siblings, Louise Lee and David Mills.

She is survived by: her children, Charles David Mercier (Cathy), James Micheal Mercier, Donna Mercier McDaniel (Dee) and Patrick Lamar Mercier (Jeri); her brothers, Walt Mills and Mickey Mills (Rachel); and her sister-in-law Carmelletta Mills. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
