She is survived by: her children, Loretta Moody Hawkins (Tim) and Timothy Howard Moody (Holly); her sister Nettie Ruth Shelton; and her grandchildren, Harmony Moody Cesnick (Nolan), Haley Moody Alves (Daniel), Brandon O'Neal Hawkins (Sarah), Kimberly Brooke Hawkins Davis (Andy), Stephen Leon Moody (Erin), Daniel Keith Moody (Kelly) and Bethany Rachel Moody (Andy). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations are being requested in her memory for the American Red Cross and Samaritan's Purse for Hurricane Helene and Milton recovery efforts.
