She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Cates and Vera Cates; her brother Richard Cates; and her husband Bobby Horton. She is survived by: her children, Chris Horton (Diane Wright Horton) and Lauri Horton Harper; and her grandchildren, Daniel Horton, David Horton, Michael Horton, Anna Horton, Andrew Harper (Jessica Rollins Harper) and Taylor Harper (Jennifer Jones Harper).
A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bolton Funeral Home (207 Hwy 47, Columbiana, AL 35051).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation or Alzheimer's Association.
