It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James W. Mays of Columbiana, Alabama, who passed away on November 17, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Webb Mays and Minnie Mays; and his brothers, Jackie, Henry, Jerry and Sherman Mays.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Ann Mays; his children, Ken Mays (Daphne), Jim Mays (Phyllis), Marianne Vetrano (Leon) and Joy Schoen (Gregg); his grandchildren, Amy (Terry), Sarah (Will), Kris, Kimberly, Joshua (Brittany) and Jenna; and his siblings, Herman Mays (Faye), Betty Patton, Nancy Blankensopp and Brenda Mays. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Columbiana, 208 N. Main Street, Columbiana, AL 35051.
