She is survived by: her siblings, Alton Eugene Carden (Lucretia) and Rhonda Kay Carden Pickett (Delwyn); her sons, Chris Smitherman and Jeff Smitherman (Kathlene); her granddaughter Janey Smitherman; and her nieces and nephews, Richard "Ricky" Carden, Rachel Pickett Miller (Joe), JJ, Anna Caroline and Eva Grace Miller.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bolton Funeral Home (207 Hwy 47, Columbiana, AL 35051). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her behalf to the Active Bible Methodist Church in Lawley, AL.
