With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Arlyn Wente Sr. of Columbia, Alabama, who passed away on July 4, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlyn Kenneth Wente and Elsie Burkholder Wente; and his son William Arlyn "Chip" Wente, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Odom Wente; his sister Mary Wente Holycross (Bob) of Livingston, AL; his siblings-in-law, James G. "Bubba" Odom and Betty Morris Odom; his nieces and nephews, Brittney Odom Armstrong (Adam), Bettina Odom Weisinger (Andy), Ashlee Holycross Gillespie (Jimmy), Bobby Holycross (Kim) and Gray Holycross (Holly); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sarah Rhames Weisinger, Anna Holycross, Katelyn Holycross, Emma Gillespie, Molly Gillespie, Emma King Armstrong, Whiddon Armstrong, Julianne Holycross, Livingston Weisinger and Judson Holycross.
