She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Edwin White Hagood and Imogen Scarborough Hagood; her husband Walter Flake Oakley, III; her granddaughter Melissa Oakley; and her siblings, Dr. Martha Hagood and Dan Hagood.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Oakley Martin (Bobby) of Hoover, AL, Walter Flake Oakley, IV (Kay), Edwin Hagood Oakley (Carolyn) and Paxton Fields Oakley (Sheila); her grandchildren, Joseph Martin (Wendy), Daniel Oakley, Trey Oakley (Kasey), Nicole Brents (Masoud), Michael Oakley (Amanda), Kendall Oakley, Tammie Grantham (Jim), Calvin Knighton (Christi), Brad Knighton (Tera) and Megan Thompson (Justin); her great grandchildren, Casen Martin, Ellery Martin, Griffin Oakley, Groves Oakley, Conner Hicks (Derek), Blake Hicks (Kenzie), Preston Hancock, Cal Knighton, Anna Klaire Knighton, Brady Bennett and Baylee Bennett; her great great grandchildren, Maddox Hicks and Rett Thompson; and her niece Barber Clark.
