He was predeceased by: his parents, John Floyd Hipps and Lois Brashier Hipps; his children, Holly Ann Hipps and Michael Hipps; and his brothers, Jerry Hipps and David Hipps.
He is survived by: his children, Shannon Sutton (Tim) and Matthew Hipps (Brenda); his siblings, Marilyn Rogers (Vann), Barbara Blizzard (Bruce) and Alvis Hipps (Annette); and his granddaughter Cheyanne Hipps Horton. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
