He was predeceased by: his parent Johnny Burland Alderson, Sr.; and his son Richard Boyce Alderson. He is survived by: his parent Fannie Vergeree Tallant Alderson; his daughters, Patricia Adams, Diane Alderson (Edward Stines), Carolyn Alderson and St Petersburg; his daughter-in-law Pam Alderson of Columbia, AL; his sisters, Annie Kate Dinkins of Akron, OH and Melissa Fitts of Anniston, AL; and his nieces, Sonya Lineberger and Susan Patrick.
