We are sad to announce that on October 16, 2022, at the age of 66, James Alan Adkins of Collinsville, Alabama, born in Pikeville, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father James Green Adkins; his grandsons, Landon and Luke Rackard; and his sister Grace Matlock. He is survived by: his children, Toni Collins, Brittany Loveridge, Hannah Rackard (Caleb) and Alex Adkins (Crystal); his grandchildren, Jocelyn Hendrix (Joel), Suzannah Rackard, Melina Rackard, Shyann Britt and Nicolas Turkish; and his uncle Johnny Adkins. He is also survived by several nephews, cousins, and many friends.

“I met James when he was in Deerfield Michigan, his first teaching Job. We were close for a while as i visited him in Wyo and he I in Texas. We lost touch but were lucky enough to reunite in June of this year. I always knew we would find each other again. We talked and he sang for us (20+)till the early morning and we made plans for future visits. Many hearts are broken with his passing. He touched many lives.
