It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Floradean Pendergrass of Collinsville, Alabama, who passed away on April 23, 2021, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Smith and Nena Edwards Smith; her husband Hoyt Pendergrass; her daughter Carolyn Dean Pendergrass; her siblings, Preston Smith, Carl Smith, Ray Smith, Ralph Smith, Newman Smith, John Smith, Iva Barksdale and Orene Reeves; and her grandson Jeremy Higginbotham.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Pendergrass of Hoover, AL and Vicki DeBoard of Collinsville, AL; her grandchildren, Kristin Cagna (Eduardo) of Basalt, CO and Breon Plunkett (Jason) of Barton, NY; and her great grandchildren, Belen Cagna, Elias Cagna, Judah Cagna, Katie Plunkett, Karlie Plunkett and Kinley Plunkett. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests no flowers but memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
