She was predeceased by: her mother Ruby Tingle; her son Jeffrey Hargrove; her grandson Timothy Hargrove; her daughter-in-law Lynn Hargrove; her brothers, Luther Hobson, Brewster Hobson and James Tingle; her father Lewis Tingle, Sr.; and her sister Shirley Tingle Criss.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Jerry Smelley; her children, Dana Anderson (Anthony), Lisa Smelley Hollingsworth (Ronny), Renea Smelley Henson and Jimmy W. Hargrove, Jr. (Dottie); her brother Lewis Tingle, Jr. (Betty); her grandchildren, Blake Hargrove (Renee), Matthew Hargrove (Kayla), Will Henson, Ballard Henson and Marlee Turner; and her great grandchildren, Asher Hargrove, Caleb Hargrove and Valor Hargrove. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
