He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria Ann Lewis Connell; his parents, Doc Connell and Virgie Connell; and his siblings, Preston, Grover, Artis, Bud, Billy Joe, Willie May Brunner, Nell Greer, June Watkins, Evelyn Brunner and Onita Boothe.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Croft (Jamie) and Dewayne Connell (Carol); his grandchildren, Kristen Cherry (Triston), Zack Connell, Megan Hughes (Daniel), Cody Connell and Hunter "Blade" Anderson; and his great grandchildren, Kyle Hughes, Kylie Hughes, Mac Cherry and Millie Cherry.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Magnolia Chapel North (4905 AL-69, Northport, AL 35473). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Calcedonia Cemetery.
