Sara Margaret Kornegay Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Margaret Kornegay of Coffeeville, Alabama, born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who passed away on February 15, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Luman Kornegay, Jr.; her parents, L. B. Pierson, Sr. and Virginia Hubbard Pierson Caffee; her daughter-in-law Barbara Kornegay; and her brother L. B. Pierson, Jr. (Bill).
She is survived by: her children, Dr. J. Randall Kornegay of Montgomery, Virginia K. Dean (Mike) of Alpharetta, GA, Toni K. Vaughn (Roe) of Birmingham and Dr. Kim P. Kornegay of Prattville; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Tucker of Jasper and Pat Boernge of Gulfport. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions masking and social distancing are required along with a limit, regrettably, of 25 persons strictly enforced.
