She was predeceased by: her parents, Augustus Bumpers and Daisy T. Bumpers of Tattlersville; her husband John Lundy Scruggs; and her siblings, Ceathil Bumpers, Leon Bumpers, Kathleen B. Deas and June B. Roseberry.
She is survived by: her friend Faye Cotton; her sons, Craig Scruggs (Janet) of Jackson, AL and John W. Scruggs of Fredericksburg, VA; her grandchildren, Summer Padgett (Paul) of Jackson, AL, Cailey Koonce (Cassidy) of Athens, AL and John Paul Scruggs of Frederiksberg, VA; her great grandchild Vivienne Koonce of Athens, AL; her siblings, Jackie Cox (John), Patricia Meyer (Bob), Doris Buendicho of Mobile, AL and Rocky Bumpers (Becky) of Butler, AL; her close friends, Billie Jean Reid and Faye Cotten; and also Paula Blanks. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorials be made to Coffeeville Baptist Church or Pilots for Christ.
