He was predeceased by: his parents, Reginald Jay and Vivian McCloskey Rivers; and his great grandchild Jackson Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Kathryn Rivers (Kathy); his children, Alvin Wayne Rivers, Jr. (Faye), Angela Stewart (Steve), Patrick Rivers and Peyton Rivers; and his siblings, Linda Mosley (John) and Reginald Jay Rivers, Jr. (Ann). He is also survived by six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
