She was predeceased by: her parents, John Anderson and Destiny Anderson; her husband Willard "Woody" Simmons; and her siblings, John Zollicofer, Dewey, Audie Lee, Purvis, Eva Hartzog, Delia Jordan and Mattie Mae Jordan.
She is survived by: her sons, Winston Simmons (Jo Ellen) of Coffee Springs, AL and Wendell Simmons (Janet) of Dothan, AL; and her grandchildren, Joshua Brooks Simmons and Jessica Evangeline Simmons. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
