She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Thomas and Abbie Blanche Fulford Coe; her grandson Adam Holmes; her brother Clyde H.; her sister-in-law Jenny Lynn Coe; and her spouse T. G. Holmes IV (Tiny).
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Childs (Hoyt, Jr.) of Samson, AL and Dr. Thomas G. Holmes; her grandchildren, Dr. Trey Childs of Huntsville, AL, Thomas Childs (Gladys) of Ft. Worth, TX and Melissa Holmes Doster (Brad) of Athens, GA; her great grandchildren, Abbie Childs, Sarah Kate Childs, Megan Childs, Scott Wesley Childs, Baylee Childs, Charlie Doster, Katherine Doster and Caroline Doster; and her sister Dorothy Ginn (Truitt) of Franklin, TN.. She is also survived by Mama Mets was beloved by her family and friends.
