He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Thompson and Erma Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Anna Thompson of Coffee Springs, AL; his children, Sheila Gale Cantu of Deridder, LA, Amy Petro Sills of Jacksonville, FL, Robert W. Thompson of Ozark, AL and Christopher A. Coggins of Aurora, CO; and his sister Sheila Simmons of Coffee Springs, AL. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; many grandnieces and nephews.
